Jai Shree Swaminarayan, Jai Shree Krishna, Namaste
With God’s grace and the blessings of our saints, elders and all of you members, I have had the opportunity to serve in our Samaj committee since 1988, as a committee member, treasury member, trustee, mela & navratri convenor and for the last five and half years as President of SKLPC.
I’m proud and honoured to have served our community at home and represented us at international level. Now this is my last year as president. In the last five years, the community has supported and put trust and faith in me, so today I am truly emotional. The continued progress of our UK Samaj would not be possible without your cooperation and I sincerely thank all of you and bow my head for the support you have given.
Transformation is the rule of worldly life. In the past five years, using our strengths we have strived to progress further and better ourselves and our Samaj. Yes, from time to time we may have made mistakes, however our committee always seeks to learn and push forward again.
Looking at the last five years, our community members have engaged, bringing and enhancing partnerships and affiliations with all our Affiliated Gaams, Swaminarayan Temples Willesden, Harrow, Stanmore, East London, Woolwich, Cardiff, Bolton, Oldham, Shree Abjibapa Sanstha UK, Gurukul Parivar UK and Kingsbury Temple. We continue to have great collaboration with our Cardiff & Bolton Samaj, as well as our International Samaj’s all around the world. I would like to thank all these institutions and committees for the continued support.
History… In 1972 our elders established this UK Samaj where so many of us continue to receive the benefits. I would like to thank and appreciate the efforts of all committees who have served the community for the past 46 years.
We are now at the brink of something special, a turning point, a celebration of us, of all of you, a new chapter, a new history. For over 30 months our planning committee has been working on achieving permission for a new state of the art centre. We are nearly there; the decision is scheduled for the 17th October 2018 for the largest project our community has engaged with. To all the 30-35 thousand samaj members, this project is ours, this centre is for you, own it, breathe it, pray for us.
Kutch is the birthplace of our elders. Our Karma Bhoomi is UK
what we have earned, in the UK, is the blessing of the land. We should not forget that our children are going to stay here, and we should create facilities here for our new generation.
Named, Indian Gardens, our proposed centre will include:
Current indications tell us that the project cost will be around the 12 million pounds (116 core rupees). We will officially launch the project in Spring 2019 with a view of completing by 2022, and in line with our 50 years of SKLPC (UK) celebrations.
I would like you all to support this community project as this will be a priceless inheritance to our future generations. Similar projects have been created in India and Africa but now it’s our turn. This project is huge, I am requesting all of you to join hands together, we can do this…. sau no sath sau no vikas.
On this occasion I would like to specially appreciate few people who supported me always
