Jay Shree Swaminarayan to all our community members.

The 2015 UK General Election is now just over 4 weeks away (voting day is Thursday 7th May 2015), but many people in our community will be unable to have their say unless they take action now.

From 2014, the way you register to vote has changed and the new system means you can now register online; and everyone is now responsible for registering themselves (previously the responsibility was with the ‘head of the household’)

SKLPC (UK) is supporting the campaign – launched by the Electoral Commission – to make sure everyone who wants to vote is registered. Watch the campaign video here

It’s simple: if you are not on the electoral register, you won’t be able to vote.  If that’s you, why not take five minutes to register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote?

It’s really important to do this by the deadline of 20th April.

The campaign

If you’re already on the register, why not use this chance to join the campaign and spread the message amongst your friends and family?

Here’s what you can do:

Remember: the deadline to register to vote is 20 April. Your vote matters: make sure you’re in!
