External PR- Report to SKLPC (UK) Executive Committee (EC)
- Team to help deliver and support the External PR & Internet strategy

What
are the responsibilites of the External PR Team?
- The quality of all publications and external press releases
- Promoting a consistent message of SKLPC
- Raise the profile of the SKLPC externally
- Work with Internal PR & Marketing Team
- Work with national and regional community groups to produce communications for specific projects and be proactive in setting up communication channels.
- Helping to manage and develop the content across a number of communications channels such as the website, newsletters and management updates.
- Meetings with external affiliated organisations close to SKLPC Community, such as Kenton, Willesden and Stanmore temples and Other Hindu Organisations SKLPC is affiliated with.
- Communication channel with Samaj in UK & Abroad ( Cardiff, Bhuj, Kenya, Australia & others)
What is required from the External PR Team?
- Have experience or a genuine interest in communications, PR or marketing
- Ideally fluent in both Gujarati and English language
- Understanding of digital and new media environment
- Experience of events and content management experience is desirable as is an understanding of marketing communications.
- You will be required to draft, manage approval process, issue press releases.
- You will proactively monitor publications, newswires, and community websites and suggest new routes to press.

- Creates and manages the information content (words and pictures) and organization of SKLPC.com website
- Typical tasks will include editorial responsibility for the content, quality and style of the site, in collaboration with convenor of other SKLPC sub-committees
- This will include finding, creating and installing tools to create web content and development and enforcement of the house style, including liaison with graphic designers to develop new interactive web applications.
