Jay Shree Swaminarayan, Jay Shree Krishna and Namaste,
At the start of my first term as President of SKLPC (UK) in 2022, I set out three core visions:
- To re-engage with our community at all levels.
- To lead, support, energise, and develop our youth offering.
- To lay the foundations for building “our” India Gardens community complex.
I am proud to say that, with the support of our team and community, we have made strong progress in each of these areas. Rebuilding community engagement, creating new opportunities for young people, and beginning the journey toward our long-awaited community complex have all been significant milestones. But our journey is ongoing.
As we look ahead to the next three years, my focus together with our dedicated team is to build on this momentum and deliver an even stronger future for SKLPC (UK). We now have one of the youngest teams of office bearers and trustees in our history a reflection of the growing energy and future-facing mindset within the organisation.
My vision for the next three years includes:
- The successful completion of the India Gardens project, establishing a lasting hub for cultural, sporting, and social activity.
- Expanding our sporting events to appeal to all age groups, with a clear commitment to increasing female participation and representation.
- Further strengthening community engagement.
- Encouraging even greater youth involvement, fostering leadership, creativity, and a deeper sense of ownership among the next generation.
- Continuing to engage with our elders, honouring their legacy while introducing new ways to make their involvement even more meaningful.
SKLPC (UK) is a community rooted in tradition and driven by progress. I am honoured to serve and lead during this exciting time and I look forward to working together with all of you as we shape the future of our Samaj.
