On behalf of SKLPC Managing Committee and board of trustees would like to congratulate Mr Laljibhai Vekaria Gaam Baladia to be awarded Hind Rattan Award (Jewel of India) on 26 Jan 2020.
The Hind Rattan (Hindi phrase translated to English as “Jewel of India”) is one of the highest Indian diasporic awards granted annually to non-resident persons of Indian origin (NRIs) by the NRI Welfare Society of India. The award is granted at the Society’s annual congress on the eve of India’s Republic Day.
The award ceremony is attended by senior members of the Government of India and of the Supreme Court of India. The number of awardees varies each year, but is generally about 25 to 30. Award selections are made among the Society leadership.
SKLPC (UK) would like to thank Shree Kodki Leva Patel Community (UK) for inviting the SKLPC (UK) Management committee to their annual gaam function today.
The program for the Kodki annual function included:
1. Greeting and welcoming their gaam members
2. A BBQ
3. Watching the India vs Pakistan World Cup Cricket Match
5. Music and cultural items by the young members of their gaam.
6. An awards ceremony for those who have achieved qualifications / degrees during the last year.
7. A walk around our beautiful Northolt ground, by some ladies to keep them fit.
Thank you to Kodki gaam President Hiten Hirani, Vice President Suresh Dabasia, and senior members Lakhubhai Dabasia, Valjibhai Dabasia, Shiv Khetani & Hitesh Arjan and members of the Kodki committee for their great hospitality.
Additionally, the SKLPC (UK) Management Committee was allocated a slot for to present the SKLPC (UK) India Gardens project proposal and information was also conveyed to gaam members about the Annual Mela & Navratri Festival.
Continual support between the Gaams and SKLPC is key to ensure that we deliver this project for our Kutchi community. “United We Stand, Together We succeed”
